Polar Smart Wet Food Feeder

I was super hesitant to pull the trigger on this feeder because of the extremely mixed reviews and amount of negative feedback. However, I’ve used it a couple times to feed my bunnies (who get fresh greens twice a day) while I’m out of town so I don’t have to stress and find pet sitters. I think the app interface is clean and intuitive, and the unit itself is pretty easy to clean!

First I wish it had 5 stations instead of three. Runs continuously no on off button and not really energy efficient. Our flat face Persian can get his face in there and eat I don't think the bowls are all that deep like some other noted. The stainless steel bowls themselves are actually only one and 1 and1/16 in deep. The black plastic part is higher up but tapers downs to the stainless steel bowls. I really didn't think my flat face Persian could get his face in there but he doesn't seem to have an issue. He hasn't learned what the bell is for even though I keep pushing on it and ringing it several times before the scheduled feeding time hopefully he'll smarten up after a while and get it. I figured you could unplug it and leave the batteries in after the last feeding and then plug it back in and the batteries would charge but the batteries do not charge. For now I'm feeding the cat three times a day because he's a grazer. So I have it open at 4:30 a.m., then 9:00 a.m. then 12:00 p.m. and he finishes all the food. So I really don't want to leave the thing on from 12:00 in the afternoon till 9: 00pm when I fill it at night and just waste electricity but like I said there's no on off button. Going on a 4-day cruise so for three of the days I'll feed them some wet food one time a day that's about all I can do. Even if it had five stations like one other brand does it still said it only keeps it cold for 3 days ,so I don't know how much help that would be either. If there was a way to record are calling for food I would shake the box of temptations and record it because they would come running for that. For what's available for cold feeders right now it's okay I'm just not totally excited about it. I have the dry food feeder and DockStream fountain but the dry food feeder has to have its own separate app because it's not all that smart I guess It runs on petlibro lite app.

I purchased one Petlibro automatic feeder and had a problem with the condensation that forms under the bowl freezing. At first I had trouble getting timely email responses from the Petlibro customer service agent. If they hadn’t informed me of the phone number to call for future issues, I would have given Petlibro a 2 star rating. Because I was informed of the phone number to use for future needs and found that number on the website, I ordered the new unit directly through Petlibro. I am very satisfied and Louie loves it, too!

Got a second feeder for when we travel for multiple days but just got a second cat so timing works out well. These have been extremely reliable for us as I only feed wet food. Haven’t had one go down yet. My only wish is if you could schedule 2 feeders back to back for multiple days in a row repeatedly not just once. People complain about the higher the temp but for 24 hour feeding it’s fine. Remember cats have stronger guts and much higher acid in their stomachs. They can handle much more bacteria than humans can. People tend to panic when they think bacteria when food is left out. I do add water to wet food so it does not dry out. But I think these feeders are excellent.

I bought this feeder over a year ago. My cat took a few days to warm up to it but once he realized that it would open at the same time every day he was hooked. It makes life so much easier- I don’t have to worry about being home on time to feed him and can even spend the night away on a whim without having to arrange for someone to come feed him. Last month, the motor that moves the lid broke and I contacted customer service. They went through multiple steps to try to get it working and when none of them worked, replaced the unit and went above and beyond when there were delivery issues due to my local carrier. I strongly recommend this feeder and Pawsleash generally.

I’m going out of town for 2 days, I don’t have anyone to watch my Baby Girl Halsey Blu. So I decided to purchase this, I really like it. It keeps the food cold and fresh for 3 days. Halsey seems to like it, just takes some getting used too. We know cats are very skittish when it’s something they’re not used too. But we love this.

This dish is perfect for my dog because my dog eats raw and eats three times a day, which is how many feeding sections there are. she eats at a certain time so it’s wonderful that I can set each time. For my cats they are grazer so I couldn’t set a time and they were always yelling at me which I would have to go and open up the dish by the app and it didn’t save me any time at all. If this dish was able to read a cat microchip and open when it approached it would be perfect and if it moved to the next once one was empty. Maybe someday they’ll update this.

Love this product! I enjoy sleeping until I actually have to get up for work, I no longer have to get up at 4:30am to feed my cat his wet food. Took about 2 weeks to get my stubborn cat to adjust to eating out of the feeder but now it has become routine. Wish there was an optional feeding dish that had six serving slots instead of three, that would allow for 2 small meals a day for 3 days

When we brought our scrappy little orphan kitten home I was determined to give him the best care possible, and appropriate nutrition is a huge part of that. As a veterinary nurse and behaviourist I know that many small meals are much more appropriate than a couple of larger ones. As we feed Noodle wet food, we immediately started hunting for a feeder that could refrigerate the food and soon came across the Polar feeder from Petlibro. Not only does this feeder keep the food cold in between mealtimes but warms each portion up to room temperature before feeding. I love the user-friendly app that allows me to see his feeding habits even when I’m out of the house. Highly recommend this feeder!
