Q: What temperature does Polar keep food at?
A: In our lab tests, when the room temperature is 25°C (77°F), the Polar Smart Wet Food Feeder can cool food to around 12°C (54°F). This helps slow bacterial growth without freezing the food or affecting its texture. Just before serving, cooling is paused for about 30 minutes so pets can enjoy meals at an ideal temperature.
Q: Can I use the product with raw food?
A: While we understand the appeal of feeding raw food, due to its perishable nature and varying shelf lives, we recommend avoiding its use with the Polar Wet Food Feeder. This ensures the health and safety of your furry friends remains our top priority.
Q: How long can wet food stay in the food bowl? Will it continue to refrigerate food after 72 hours without resetting?
A: The feeder preserves wet food for up to 72 hours. Even after a feeding plan ends, the cooling function remains active to maintain freshness. However, for your pet's health, we recommend cleaning up any leftover food promptly once feeding concludes, especially if you don't plan to use the feeder immediately.
Q: Is the Polar Smart Wet Food Feeder with Stainless Steel Bowl better than the plastic one? Are there further improvements apart from the stainless steel bowl?
A: We created the new Polar in response to customer requests for a stainless steel bowl option. Some people prefer stainless steel because it's antibacterial, durable, and dishwasher-safe. When designing the new bowl, we added number marks at the bowl's center that align with the meal settings in the app, so it's easier to make sure every meal is set just right for your cat. We've also changed the power adapter to a 3-prong plug for added stability and safety. Whether you have the plastic or stainless steel version, Polar Smart Wet Food Feeder is a safe, reliable feeder and the only one of its kind that keeps wet food fresh and flavorful for 3 days.
Q: How should the feeding bowl be cleaned?
A: The feeding bowl is dishwasher-safe (up to 212℉/100℃) or can be hand-washed with water for easy upkeep.
Q: Why is there water in the cooling area after some time?
A: The appearance of condensed water in the cooling area is a natural result of the feeder interacting with air during refrigeration. Simply wipe the area dry with a towel after each feeding plan for optimal maintenance.
Q: Is the Polar Smart Wet Food Feeder suitable for all cats? Can kittens or small cat breeds use it?
A: The Polar Smart Wet Food Feeder is 19.6cm (7.7 inches) tall, with the edge of the lid opening at 15.5cm (6.1 inches). Therefore, we recommend that your cat's shoulder height be at least 15.5cm to use it comfortably
Q: Is this product insect-proof?
A: We've designed the Polar to be as insect-proof as possible, though ants may still be able to to get in. Because the strong scent of moist food can attract bugs, we recommend promptly cleaning up any food bits around the feeder. And be sure to give the food bowl and where it connects to the feeder (especially those little nooks and crannies) a good cleaning at least once a week.
Q: Can I use my HSA/FSA for this product?
A: You may be able to use your HSA/FSA funds depending on your plan and eligibility. At checkout, select Flex to see if you qualify.
